MS Paint (Win)

Its FREE if you have Microsoft's Windows operating system.  Previously called PaintBrush.

Many professional graphics software applications (such as Paint Shop Pro or Photoshop above) use the same basic graphic principles, so learning MS Paint's tools will make it easier for you to learn these other more complex programs much quicker.

MS Paint is still widely used because of its simplicity for the pixel art form and for all Bitmap (.bmp), JPEG, GIF, PNG, and TIFF art that require minimal resources to edit.

Locate it on your computer: Go to Start, All Programs, click Accessories, and find "Paint."

Although it has only a small number of art tools and capabilities, it’s easy to learn and use.
